Food & Drinks

Fish and chips is one of the most interesting dishes in england. It is a dish which is deep fried - fish dipped in batter or breadcrumbs. It is also served with fried potatoes, Colesaw, lemon and tartaric sauce. The taste is good, crispy and with a slight smell of tender fish. Nice to try when you are going to take a nap after the meal, probably on Saturdays or Sunday.

The Sunday roast is normally taken during dinner with roasted lamb, beef or chicken served with roasted/fried potatoes.

The English breakfast is one another locals delight with fried bread, baked beans, sausages, fried or boiled eggs, hash brown. It is quite a heavy meal combination for visitors. You also get chicken pie and steaks in some restaurants.

London is also famous for many caloric fried foods which can be pre-dominantly seen in many of the high streets. I bet you can see Burger king, Mc Donald’s and many other fried food shops in and around the high streets.
Apart from british cusine there are many restaurants which serve other foods such as indian curry’s, thai cooking and chineses take aways, italian foods such as pastas, spaghetti’s and french cusine. Indian curry is a favourite across the locals, due to the strong links with india during the british raj. Many restaurants serve papad’s with green chutney. Also they server cobra beer with starters followed by spicy food, completing with a desert.
